Privacy policy
This page explains what data PictureHearth handles when you use the site. In short: you do not need an account, and we do not collect your photos.
At a glance
- Your photos stay with youThey are processed in your browser. The site has no server that receives them.
- No accountNo sign-up, no login, no email address to leave.
- Statistics only with consentGoogle Analytics counts visits only if you agree. Your photos are never part of it.
- Settings stay in your browserYour theme and saved settings. You can delete them at any time.
Your photos
The tools open, edit and save your photos in your browser, on your device. The site has no server that receives photos, so we cannot see, store or share them. When you close the page, they are gone.
Some tools (for example Remove background and Blur faces) download an AI model from our site the first time you use them. Only the model comes to your device; your photo is not sent anywhere.
What is stored in your browser
The site keeps a few things in your browser so you do not have to choose or download them again. They never leave your device:
- ThemeYour choice of light or dark theme.
- Cookie choiceWhether you accepted or rejected visit statistics.
- Saved settingsSettings you save yourself in Batch processing. Settings only, never photos.
- AI modelsDownloaded models, so they load faster next time.
You can delete all of this at any time by clearing the site data in your browser settings.
Hosting
Like every website, this one is delivered by a hosting provider. To send you the pages, its servers receive technical data such as your IP address, your browser type and the page you asked for. We do not use this data to identify you.
Visit statistics
If you agree, we use Google Analytics to see how many people visit the site, which pages and tools they use and where problems come up. Without your consent, Google Analytics is not loaded at all.
Google then receives data about your visit: the pages you open, your browser, device and screen size, the language, roughly where you are (country and city, from your IP address) and where you came from. Your photos, their names and the results are never sent. Google says that Google Analytics does not store IP addresses.
Google Analytics sets two cookies on this site: _ga and one that starts with _ga_. They keep a random ID for up to 2 years, so that visits on different days count as one visitor. We have turned off Google signals and ad personalization.
Google keeps the detailed data for 14 months. After that, only totals remain.
Google Ireland Limited processes the data on our behalf. It may also be processed in the USA; Google is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
We use Google Analytics only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. We then stop Google Analytics and delete its cookies.
Advertising and cookies
The site shows no ads. Only Google Analytics sets cookies, and only if you agree (see “Visit statistics”).
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access your personal data
- correct it
- delete it
- object to its use
- complain to a data protection authority
We do not collect your photos and have no accounts. The visit statistics in Google Analytics do not tell us who you are. To use your rights for that data, write to us.
Changes to this policy
When the site changes how it handles data, we update this page and the date at the top.
